MyStory.church Guidelines
1.Respect others privacy – We offer a place to be vulnerable and honest with one another. This only works if there is mutual trust. Do not violate this trust by sharing someone else’s personal story outside of the group.“Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.” – Proverbs 11:13
2.Be respectful – Especially with those you disagree with.
“As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions” – Romans 14:1
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35
3.Avoid offensive language – Don’t let your words be a stumbling block to someone else.
“Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving..” – Ephesians 5:4
4.No political discussions – This is not the place.
“But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.” – Titus 3:9
5.Promoting products and services is not allowed – Occasional book recommendations are fine, but this is not the place to promote products or fund raise.
“These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.” 1 Timothy 6:5
6.Stay on topic – We are a place for discussing each of our unique walks with Christ in an open and honest way.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” – Philippians 4:8

You don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need to agree with everything we do. You don’t even need to be a Christian. The only requirements are that you have an honest desire to learn more about following Christ and treat others with respect. If this is you, we invite you to join us in discussing what it looks like to spend every day living as Jesus did.
